Braden Budd Bergquist, 42 passed away April 1, 2026, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was born on May 28, 1983 in Logan, Utah, to Mark and Sharon Bergquist.
Growing up Braden loved riding bikes, building forts, and anything outside to keep him busy. He never slowed down and grew to love the outdoors. Braden graduated from Preston High School in 2001. During high school Braden worked for Edwards Floral and later worked in construction and paving roads for La Grande Johnson. He dedicated 21 years to Trails West, where he was respected for his hard work and dependability.
Braden’s greatest joy was his daughter Kayebree Lynn. He loved spending time with her, whether it was introducing her to the outdoors, planning future adventures, or simply watching her dance. He was so proud of his little girl and those moments meant everything to him.
Braden had a deep love for the outdoors hunting and fishing, but his true passion was hunting elk. Braden had a natural talent for working with his hand and could fix nearly anything with an engine. He loved being creative and tinkering on projects to come up with new ideas. Braden was one that would quietly help those in need. Braden will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, strong work ethic, honesty, as well as his mechanical talents. He truly loved his daughter, family and friends.
Braden is preceded in death by his father, Mark D. Bergquist; and his grandparents, Don and Casey Bergquist, Darrell H. Drury, Evelyn Drury Raymond, and Budd C. Raymond. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kayebree Lynn Bergquist; mother Sharon D. Bergquist; siblings, Mistie Peterson, Kandie Avery, Brandon (Jennifer) Bergquist; his nieces and nephews, Brooke (Tyler) Olsen, Carter Olsen, Jordan (Chevelle) Keller, Kameron Peterson, Landon Peterson, and Hallee Peterson; and many extended family members and friends.
