Billie Kay Arlt

Billie Kay Arlt was born on July 17, 1956 in Spokane, Washington. She passed away on April 27, 2023. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California in 1974. She attended South Baylou University in Garden Grove, CA and became a licensed acupuncturist in 1997. It took her 10 years as she was also working full time as a crew boss and a landscaper while attending school at night. As a result, she completed her education debt-free. She started working as an acupuncturist part time in New Port Beach California and then later, in 2000, moved to Preston, Idaho, where she opened her office in 2005. During that time, she worked in Preston for about 20 years and was well loved by her community with many saying that the care they received from her changed their lives. This fact was demonstrated by the care and support she later received from her clients and friends during her own illness.

Billie loved playing softball and started playing on the Bobby Sox team when she was about 10 years old. She played on a number of teams and later she joined a woman’s softball team and in 1993, that came in second in the state. Billie loved where she lived, 8 miles from Preston with the Cub River running by her yard. She saw many deer, moose and cougars come down the mountain to her place. It was a place that grounded her and nurtured her gentle spirit.

There will be an open house gathering for friends and family at the home of Jody Crocket, 29 South 200 East in Preston on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Billie are heartily invited to come by. Memories and condolences may be shared with her family and friends at webbmortuary.com
