LAVA HOT SPRINGS, IDAHO BETH G. CASPERSONLAVA HOT SPRINGS- Beth Glenn Casperson, 85, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on December 29, 2007. She was born March 16, 1922, in Wellsville, Utah, to John Bankhead and Elizabeth Archibald Glenn. She attended elementary schools in Tremonton and Wellsville and graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum. She attended Logan Cosmetology Beauty School, graduated and worked as a beautician for many years.She married Nathan Maughan Casperson on Nov. 20, 1944, in Birmingham, Alabama. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on Nov. 20, 1945.She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. In 1990, she served an LDS mission with her husband to Columbus, Ohio. It was one of the most memorable experiences for her.Beth was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Nathan Casperson; daughters, Bonnie (Rodney) Barfuss of Lava Hot Springs; Peggy (George) Dyches of Moroni, Utah; sons, Vance (Cindy) Casperson of St. George, Utah; Thayne (Leola) Casperson of Bancroft, Idaho; Dale Casperson of Midvale, Utah; Brett (Nancy) Casperson of Lava Hot Springs; Bart (Angie) Casperson of Inkom, Idaho; sisters, Mattie (John) Sharp of St. George, Utah; Margaret Miller of Hyrum, Utah; twenty-eight grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and three grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lava Hot Springs LDS Church with Bishop Chaud Spitzer conducting. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the church in Lava Hot Springs and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the church. Burial will be in the Lava Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home of Preston, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casperson Family Fund at Zion's Bank.
