Clifton - Anna Rosella McCann Hildt McDermott, Loving Mother, Wife and Grandmother was born April 7, 1916 in Garden City, Utah to Hyrum David and Lillian Netty Kiddy McCann. Anna passed away peacefully on January 25, 2009. Anna was 92 years old. Anna grew up in Garden City, Utah. She married Carl Hildt on April 12, 1933. After Carl's death on November 26, 1947, she married George Fisher McDermott in the Logan Temple, on August 4, 1950. George Fisher McDermott preceded Anna in death on December 18, 1983.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She devoted her life to her children. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy and spending time with her family.
Anna is survived by her 12 children: JaNeice Mease of Magna, UT, Elroy McDermott of Cheney, WA, Enid Salter of Centerville, UT, Louise Walker of Bountiful, UT, Allen Hildt of Irvine, CA, Anna Hildt of San Bernardino, CA, Darlene Goold of Hurricane, UT, Catherine McDermott of Malad City, ID, Nancy Wheeler of American Falls, ID, Donna Williams of Logan, UT, Neil McDermott of Santee, CA, and Reed McDermott of Morgan, UT; 56 grandchildren, over 150 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Clifton LDS Chapel. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, in Preston and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church in Clifton.
