My mother always used to say that if you have two good friends in your whole life, then you are truly blessed. Susan was such a friend. She was so kind and loving and I knew her so well that I considered her my sister though we never talked of it. She was always there through thick and thin, ever positive and forward moving, humble and yet one of the most highly educated, deep thinking and caring individuals I have ever known. She called me personally to invite me to her "gathering of a few close friends" for her 50th wedding anniversary. I arrived to see over a hundred others. But, this is the way she was. She made everyone feel special and cared about. We had so much fun together that I really do not think I shall ever find another friend in my life like her, which makes me truly sad and tearful yet thankful for having known and loved her. A joyful light in my life has now extinguished. Good bye and hugs my loving friend. See you later!

Sue dear, you are still in my heart, but you always were a traveler. You have gone on another journey without us and I’ll bet you are finding it a magical adventure. Your life was a magical adventure. Whenever you appeared whether at a tea party, poetry reading or writing, a bookstore or quilt show, I always knew an adventure would ensue! I still drink from coffee chicken cup Jennifer gifted us with at your birthday party. Send us messages from your new realm. Send us a dream, poem, even a feather. Good bye, dearest Sue, until we meet again. My deepest sympathy to Hershell, Jennifer and the whole family.🌸💜

Aunt Sue II have wonderful memories of us going back to the bald knob on the farm. I remember your laughter and how we all looked forward to seeing you when you came home to visit. You came from a family filled with love and you continued with that love your entire life. I know how my mom ( Billie ) loved you. I know you will be greatly missed by your family and I am so sorry for their loss..
