Lori I'm sorry this is a month late I just learned of it. I'm so sorry for your loss but so happy for her to be out of pain. If you need an ear I'm here for you it's tough to lose a parent. Hugs to you. ❤️

Patty was a special lady. Had a heart of gold. Got two of my best horses from her, and one-the pony, she gave me. I left a check for her in the grain bin when I picked him up, but she just tore it up. She said she was at the auction and when he came up for sell, a couple of guys were going to buy him to eat....so she bought him, had him gelded and gave him to me for my little girl. The quarter horse I bought from her was special. He got shipping fever when they re-bred his mother when he was real young. She brought him in the house because the weather was too bad, and nursed him back to health. The vet told her if he made it he would have to be one "tough little runt" . He made it, and she named him on his registration papers....Tough Little Runt. She followed what we did with those horses and loved it when my kids won at home and at the state fair. Just a few months ago, she caught me in the Preston Drug store and told me she had another horse for me. What a big heart she had. And she could talk. I was a professional talker...being a school teacher, but she had me beat, hands down! Good, good memories. She's up there riding the hills with a dog following behind.
